This course presents foundations for strong leadership development and resources available for servant leadership. Emphasis is given to the development of character and leadership skills. Principles of leadership will be drawn from a variety of recognized experts in this field.

This course is a broad introduction to the essentials of children’s ministry. It includes pastoring children, partnering with parents, managing the ministry setting, maintaining discipline, and essential training tools. Consideration is given to designing and evaluating ministries and curriculum. The process of recruitment, screening, training and supervision of children’s workers is also covered along with legal and safety issues. Students will have the opportunity to observe and evaluate various children’s ministries.

This is a study of the physical, psychological and social needs and problems of adulthood and the responsibility of the local Church to minister effectively to single and married adults and senior citizens.
